M3 are the veterans of the DS flash card world. They are a pretty relaxed team that never rush their hardware to market, leading to decent hardware with good software. They have been there since the start, and continue to support their products long after they are made. Their product the 'M3 Real' for the DS/DSLite got off to a slow start when it was released in 2007, but it has slowly become the highest selling high capacity card we have ever sold. We where pretty surprised when the Acekard team brought out the Acekard 2i so early (before DSi was even out here in Australia). We emailed M3 and asked them if they would port over the M3 Real to the DSi, just like acekard did for acekard 2.1. They said their where a bunch of issues they saw with the acekard solution, and said their DSi solution would be available when they had a proper solution. The issue they saw with the acekard is that updates need to be applied by running a program on the acekard. This was fine if you had not updated your Dsi yet, but if you had, you are stuck unless you have access to a Ds lite consol.
The M3i Zero is just like most other DS Flash cards. In fact its features are almost 1:1 of the M3 real. It plays homebrew, loads cheats for games, and plays MP3s from inside the menu system. The M3 Sakura system makes it easy for anyone to navigate. The M3i Zero also has the RTS (Real Time Save) system, which allow you to save your games at any time! One of the biggest selling points is that the m3i is 100% upgradable. There are 2 types of upgradablity, one type is software on the micro sd card which every card can upgrade. The other is the actual firmware on the flash card itself. Why would you ever need to upgrade this you say? The DSi is actually firmware upgradable product, which technically means that Nintendo can try and block these devices from running with a software update, and they have done this twic.
There are are a lot of cheap and nasty card that CANNOT be upgraded at all. We do not stock any of these.
When you get the M3i Zero, it will be blank, and you can just follow our simple instructions to get it enabled. They will be emailed to you when you order.
Enough of the boring technical stuff! Here is what is inside the M3i Zero package

- M3i Zero flash card itself
- M3i Zero firmware update cable
- M3i Zero free USB micro sd card reader

The M3i is a solid card for the Dsi. When it came out in 2009 is was easily the best card for the DSi on the market. The market changes very quickly though, and new teams bring out new cards. M3i have never had a bad batch of cards, but the failure rate of the card is a little bit higher then we would like. People have problems flashing the devices (user error) but then also after a couple of months there are sometimes contact issues with the DSi. While the hardware updates have been very fast, the software updates from the team have slowed down a little, and considering the Supercard does not have these issues (the best hardware, and the best software) we cannot reccoment the M3i Zero over the SuperCard at the moment!
