M3 Sakura is here! (kinda)

M3 Real is the 2nd highest selling flash card on our website - this news will make it number 1. The M3 real is already a great card - It's made by the M3 Adapter the biggest flash card producers in the world. They are reliable cards (fail rate is less than 1 in 250 units). The cart is always being updated to increase compatibility with ROMs and Homebrew. The only thing that people ever complained about is the speed and look of the menu.

Instead of bringing out a totally new card, M3 have totally re-written the software the M3 Real uses to run. The only thing the cycloDS has on the M3 Real is 'Real Time Save (RTS)'. RTS just gives you the ability to save the game state whenever you want. M3s Graphical User Interface is now second to none. Some user may not care, but if you like shinny things, or you are a hardcore nerd - you will be very interested in this!

The firmware for this was released in Japanese format a week or so ago. The users at GBAtemp, the worlds largest DS community have hacked/translated the firmware to english before the official english release!

M3 Real users can download here - http://gbatemp.net/index.php?download=2553

For those that need visual confirmation, here is a random 5min video we found on youtube-->

OzModChips are also the ONLY official distributors of the M3 Real in Australia (we know there is a company in China pretending to be Australian - they don't count of course).
The product is in FULL stock, we have enough to last us 2~3 months. You can buy an M3 on its own (does nothing). The M3 with a 2gb, 4gb or 8gb combo. If you like GameBoy Advance, you can also buy the combo with a GBA expansion.

OzModChips have new D2c2 Compliant modchips in Stock

This is a follow up on this article here

OzModChips managed get our shipment of the brand new d2c2 compliant d2pros! All D2pros shipping from Monday the 2nd of June onwards have a little green sticker on the bottom of the Modchip. The green sticker just means they have the new software that works on all wiis, including the new D2C2 wiis.

If you have a wii, your options are:

D2pro9 on its own, if you have the skill to install it yourself : $66.5 inc GST

D2pro9 soldered on a WiiClip and a Triwing - a solderless solution: $99 inc GST

D2pro9 installed by one of our installers (with a warranty!): $139 inc GST

Don't have a wii. You might want to consider getting one premoddified. Less running around, and a warranty on not only the modchip, but the whole Wii console as well?

Premodded Wii with D2pro9 installed: $540 inc GST

Premodded Wii, Extra Wii remote, Extra nunchuck with D2pro9 installed: $625 inc GST

Remember we have free shipping within Australia. International shipping is as cheap as $10 aud, and international orders pay no tax!

Last note is just a warning about 'competitors'. We won't name them, but there are a couple of them in Australia that are claiming to already have stock of the d2pro9. Considering we worked closely with the d2pro team on this d2c2 issue, and we are their official Australia distributor, we know they don't have stock. Always buy from an online company that has a solid reputation to avoid orders being delayed.

For bulk purchases (50+) please contact us

New Unmoddable Wii, finally in Australia :(

Nintendo, god bless them, have again changed around the insides of the Wii DVD drive, making it impossible for anyone to mod their wii, with any modchip. The wii has been in the US/Canada for about 4 week, Europe for 2 weeks, and now its in Australia.
The real b^tch thing is, they have made it pretty much impossible to tell if the drive is moddable, until you mod it. There are extra markings on a couple of them - but its not consistent. The code name for these drives, are 'D2C2' or D2C version 2.

It's funny to us when they do this, we won't go into reasons why :)
Apparently it wasn't much of a challenge for the d2pro team, and they figured out the issue in couple of days. That was a couple of weeks ago, as they have been quite busy re-writing the code on the d2pro 9wire modchip.

We have the new test chips here, and it does indeed work on the new Wiis. A couple of small bugs found, so the chip will be ready hopefully in about a week (2nd of June hopefully).
So, we are just letting you know, that if you are thinking of posting your console in, or getting a d2pro 9wire done with our installers please don't do it if:

You have an NTSC-U, NTSC-J, or European (PAL, LEH) wii that was bought new after March the 1st

Or if you have an aussie Wii, with the serial number of LAH1045 and over

Its all very very new in Australia, so we are still collecting information. It is not as clear cut as it was previously, where the serial number cuts offs where exact. Nintendo have mixed up stock. For example, we modified lots fo LAH1047 wiis that where fine, but the first d2c2 we found was in a lah1045.

All of this information will be pretty much pointless soon, as the new firmware on the d2c2 compliant d2pros 9wires will work on every single Wii. d2c2, d2c, d2b etc etc. If you have found a d2c2 in your wii, please email us with your serial number. Stay tuned!

D2pro taking over Australia

After nearly 5 months of having close to no stock, OzModChips finally have a buckload of wiis modified, and ready to go. They are modified with the D2pro, which is clearly the best modchip on the market at the moment.

Premodded Wii with D2pro = $540
Premodded Wii, Extra Wii remote, Extra nunchuck with D2pro = $625

The D2pro 9 wire mod has also landed. It gives us the opportunity to offer the best price in Australia for D2C installation at only $139 all up. The most expensive (and best) modchip, and the cheapest total price for installation, the best modders....what are you waiting for!

We have installers in every state, and they are ready to mod your wii in person

D2pro + Installation around Australia = $139.

If an installer doesn't not service your area, you can use our postal installation service for $140 including return postage!
