FAQ so far
- Are these aussie PAL Wiis? Yes of course, all bought from inside Australia. Sealed from Nintendo!
- Can I buy more than 1? Yes, you can buy 20 if you want. If you buy more than 1 via credit card you will be contacted to confirm your details
- How have you installed the D2pro? 9 wires.
- What happened to the 19 wire Wiis? There is a new wii, 'unmoddable' that will hit Australia, VERY soon. D2pro 9wire is the only modchip that will work on these Wiis. D2pro have informed us that this modchip is the one they will be concentrating on in the future (they will still support all their chips of course). We have been testing these mods for over 3 weeks, and are very impressed.
What is the difference between the D2ckey and the D2pro?
The D2Ckey is a great modchip, there is no one that will doubt that it has served its purpose of being the worlds first D2C modchip very well. The only flaw the D2Ckey would have, is its lack of upgradability and how hard it is to install. We have Australia's best console modder working for us, but the connections on the D2Ckey are so close that it doesn't matter how good he is, a small amount will still come back. The D2pro has about half the connections, so the chance of a wire coming loose is extremely small. D2pro was designed with upgradability in mind. There is a small flat cable the hangs out the back of your console that can be used to upgrade the D2pro via JTAG. The compatibility is the same, the stability is the same, it just costs us about 4 times more to put these in a wii then it does a D2ckey, so we are doing everyone a favor on the house!
The D2pro has never had any bugs at all regarding games running, like all D2B modchips.
What are the features of the D2pro? What can I do with my modified wii?!
- Direct Booting of 100% of backup games from your region (i.e if you have a PAL console, you can play 100% of PAL games)
- Direct Booting of about 70% of international games (backup or original)-Check this list out here for compatibility. 100% if you use freeloader
- Play homebrew software
- Watch DVD's
- Watch Divx movies
- Play emulated software like SNES, NES etc
- Make backups for your original discs via an SD card and SD gecko or a USB gecko
Why should I buy the Wii premodified?
When you buy a wii yourself, and get it modified you will void your warranty. Installers can offer a warranty on the modchip and wiring, but not on the actual console itself. Buying the premodifed Wii from us will give you a 1 year warranty to cover hardware malfunctions that are not user caused. The Wii has a low failure rate, as Nintendo are great at making hardware, but its great to have the piece of mind that if something goes wrong with the Wii - we will help you out.
Do the math. The wiis retail price is $400 , modding it is $165+. You have to run around yourself to buy the thing, and then run around to get it modified. We are lowering the price and delivering it to your door at no cost. As long as you supply a valid address, there is no real risk of the console being lost in transit.
The wiis are brand new. All we do it take the console out, mod it, test it, and put it back inside the package. Since we are so popular, we have the money to spend on hiring Australias best modders. Why would you buy from anywhere else? Email our competitors and ask them to send you a photo of their d2pro installations, if they refuse to comply - why would you buy the console from them?! A better question is why they are not modding it with the best modchip on the market, the D2pro. The only reason they would still be modding consoles with the D2ckey is to save $$$. We only took long to swap from D2ckey to D2pro because there where absolutely no Wiis in Australia for the first 3~4 months of 2008.
We are more than happy to supply photos of our flawless installs here.
