Stock Status - Out of stock and discontinued. D2pro is no longer made, due to the success of the wiikey 2. The wiikey 2 is cheaper to make, and offers higher stability and a lower fail rate.

Warning - There is a new type of Wii stores early November 2008. If you have a Australian PAL wii with the serial number of LAH1088 and over, you cannot use the wiiclip at all. The wii has black EPOXY glue all over it. Not to worry, click her to buy the Drivekey modchip, which works on all Wiis 100% solderless If you are in the UK/europe -- epoxy starts LEH224 and above. If you are in US/Canada...it starts at Lu611 and above.

A quick note: If you do not include your wii serial number in the order comments - we will solder this for d2c/d2c2/d2e consoles as the default configuration (since 80% of the consoles on the market are d2c/d2c2/d2e). If you have a d2b/dms console, and don't include your serial number - your product will arrive in a non working state. You will cause yourself and ozmodchips great frustration in getting it to work. If you cannot get it working you will need to send it back to us to get it resoldered, or change the clip if you have used it to many times. This will not be for free. Please, we beg you a million times, please please please include your serial number in the order comments! If your wii have been repaired by Nintendo, your serial number will not be an accurate indicator of the DVD drive inside, so please contact us if this is the case.

One 1 triwing per purchase (no matter how many wii-clips you buy)

The Wiiclip is am AMAZING device. In its short time on the market, its has totally changed the wii modding scene in Australia and around the world. We have a couple of customers that are buying 10, 20, 40+ of these things at a time. We do all the hard work for you, we will solder each one according to the serial numbers you give us, and test them out. Why are people buying so many? Because after you buy 1, and do yours, you might realise how much money you can make off this yourself. Most of the people buying from us in bulk work for IT companies here. They realise that people are fine paying $130~$150 for a wii moddification. If you buy these in bulk for say, $80 each - you can make half a grand profit each batch of Wii's you mod. They should only take about 10 to 15 minutes each to do, so you can collect the Wiis at work, and give them back to people the next day!

Everyone knows the wii is popular - all your friends have friends, and the amount of customers you can get yourself is endless! Start off small if you want to test the waters, and we will be here to support you when you part time modding business grows!

Important note for latest batch:

  • We now have D2pros with firmware 2.3/2.4. This means that they work on all chipsets, including D2Es, without soldering any wires at all
  • Even though they all work, please give us your serial number in the order comments, if you don't we cannot ship your item off.

We ship these all around the world. International shipping starts at $10 for registered post

Some info on the D2pro 9 wire:
D2pro 9wire is the "it" modchip at the moment. The SPI is upgradeable via DVD, and the Actel is upgradeable via JTAG (using the d2prog). D2pro team have proven that they are more then one step ahead of the competition. Their "competitors" are Argon and wasabi. Wasabi has an issue with 5~10% of DVD drives, plus they are not upgradeable via JTAG, just DVD, even though it hasn't been upgraded yet, not even a proof of concept! The guys who wrote Argon copied Wasabi code, and have ported it to their modchip. Probably not the best idea to copy a buggy modchip hey?

The presoldered clips will be shipped in d2c/d2c2/d2e mode. If you have a serial number for a DMS/d2a/d2b/d2b-cutpin wii you MUST tell us in the order comments when checking out, otherwise the modchip will not work on your console!

D2pro Vs D2All?
Which one is better? We are getting this question a lot! What you need to know, is that the d2pro is 100% original. The code was designed from scratch. The code has been updated many times, so it has been proved that it is an upgradable modchip. D2Alls team have made the d2all look exactly like the d2pro, with a different colour. It made us wonder if the d2All was a direct clone of the d2pro. This is not the case, as the modchip functions differently on different drives, doesn't take d2pro updates etc. It is possible that its a partial clone, that they have modified the code slightly --- we, and nobody else really knows. The d2all and d2pro both work fine, but the reason you would get the d2pro is for the confidence that if there is ever an issue with some kind of wii update there is more of a chance that d2pro would fix it first. D2pro is like the Ford or Holden of modchips -- they are solid cars, and they have a huge reputation to uphold. D2All is like.....its like a car brand you have never heard of, that still gets you from A to B cheaper --- but if the car was ever to do something weird, there might not be a service man that knows how to work on it (i.e. no one knows if its really upgradable, until they upgrade it). The D2All is just meant to be a cheaper alternative to the d2pro, for those that don't want to spend the extra $$$

Firstly a warning:
All Wii-Clips that have D2Pro soldered to them will be tested. OzModChips.com takes no responsibility AT ALL for any damage you or the wii-clip may cause to your wii during installation, 1 week, or 5 years after 'installing the product'.

On to the product!

What is this thing?
The Wii-Clip is not a modchip, it is a solderless interface that can be used on all consoles to install the D2Pro 9 wire without wires! Please note that there is 1 point on the d2pro that is usually soldered to onto a pad. Point J. This point passes through a resistor before hitting the IC. We have been testing it out, and every single Wii will work fine, 100% solderless. If it doesn't work on your Wii please be prepared to solder 1 wire. If this is beyond you, then you might want to consider the other d2pro.

D2pro has automatic region detection. We will test these out on a console here, and then wipe the d2pro clean and reinstall the firmware, so that its 100% new when you get it.

Please read the official page in full to understand the product.

Hasn't every single IC-Clip in the past been a horrible failure?
Yeah, pretty much. PS2 ones where terrible. There was a recent Wii one for D2B consoles made by a bunch of Spanish guys. It was terrible....some home made POS.

So what makes this different?
The Wii-Clip is selling pretty cheap, but it is in no way a cheaply made product! The guys that designed it obviously have a very good factory doing this for them. The Wii-Clip hugs the IC so tight that onces its on.....its really on. We think that there is a very small chance that the vibration of the Wii will move the clip as there is no where for it to really move. The Wii-Clip slightly blocks the air flow inside the wii - but with correct installation it shouldn't be a problem.

How do you install it?

What comes inside the packages you offer?

Wii-Clip V4C, D2Pro soldered on with a ribbon cable for the d2prog (not included in picture)

Important information on warranty:
There is nothing better than actually installing a modchip in your wii with wires. Solder is an extremely strong bond, and installers can give warranty on their work, and on the product. We can only provide a DOA (dead on arrival) warranty on these products. If you are experiencing a problem with your wiiclip you must notify us of this within 7 days of receiving the item. We simply cannot provide a long term warranty on a product that is not installed by us. We will test each each pre-soldered solution before sending the item to you, and this does narrow the chances of it not working, however, by buying this product, you are agreeing that there is only a DOA warranty and OzModChips will not accept returns whatsoever after this period.
